What is Delhi AAP Party’s Sanjeev Plan?
- Arvind Kejriwal has started Sanjeev Yojana for the elderly. Under this, elderly people above 60 years of age will be given free treatment in the capital.
- All citizens above 60 years of age will get free treatment in Delhi. According to Kejriwal, the government will bear the entire cost of treatment.
- Kejriwal said that door-to-door registration will be started by AAP workers in the coming days.
- People of every income group will get the benefit of Sanjeev’s scheme, that is, there will be no limit on income.
What is Ayushman Bharat i.e. Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana?
Under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), senior citizens aged 70 years and above will get free health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh. Individual golden cards will be made for all people above 70 years of age.
This decision will benefit 6 crore senior citizens of 4.5 crore families. Many major diseases are covered under this scheme, apart from cancer, heart disease and kidney related diseases, it also includes corona, cataract.
If senior citizens are turning 70 years of age on the basis of date of birth written in Aadhar card, then all of them will now get the benefit of this scheme, irrespective of their income, a new scope has been created. , Pensioners will also benefit from this.
Online card can be made by applying through the online portal of the National Health Authority or the Ayushman App. The ministry will run a large-scale campaign for this. There will also be help desks in hospitals and help will also be provided in making special cards for the elderly. Health workers will also go to the field and help the elderly. A camp will also be organized in the old age home.
According to the Health Ministry, there are about 30 thousand hospitals across the country under Jan Arogya Yojana, out of which 13 thousand are private and 17 thousand are government hospitals. If a patient is admitted in all these hospitals, he will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
Senior citizens above 70 years of age who are already enrolled in this scheme will have to apply again for the special card. If in that family both husband and wife are above 70 years of age then both will get the benefit. The first treatment will cost up to Rs 5 lakh and after that there will be a top up of Rs 5 lakh.
