The Police Lines complex located in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, was transformed into a supernatural and grand spiritual center this year on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, where Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present as the chief guest. On this holy and traditional festival, the Chief Minister reached the court of Lord Krishna established in the Police Line and offered prayers with full rituals, chanting mantras and devotion and wished for the happiness, prosperity and peace of the people of the state. As soon as the Chief Minister lit the lamp in front of the idol of Lord Shri Krishna, the entire pandal echoed with deafening slogans of ‘Hathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki’ and ‘Jai Shri Krishna’. Many senior police officers of the state, senior administrative staff and a large number of policemen along with their families participated in this grand event, which made the festive atmosphere more enthusiastic. Huge enthusiasm was seen among the devotees who came from all over the city to witness this traditional festival of Police Lines and this great festival was conducted with full dignity amidst tight security arrangements.
During his address from this sacred platform of the birth anniversary, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while turning the pages of history, gave a very impressive and ideological message which attracted the attention of the entire country. The Chief Minister said in clear words that in history there have been many foreign invaders and cruel rulers who made evil attempts to erase India’s eternal culture and destroy our ancient temples, but they could only damage the structures made of stones and bricks. He stressed that no force can ever touch the unbreakable eternal faith, values and cultural consciousness of this country, because our faith is not linked to material bricks and stones but to our deep devotion and spiritual faith in God. His powerful and thought-provoking statement further ignited the feeling of patriotism and cultural pride among all the people present there, hearing which the entire pandal echoed with thunderous applause.
Continuing his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the complete biography of Lord Shri Krishna, the pastimes of Dwapara Yuga and the immortal teachings of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita as an infallible guide for today’s modern society. He said that the message given by Lord Krishna to fight firmly against injustice, injustice and untruth in every era is the biggest medium for the welfare of humanity. Referring to the knowledge of Geeta given to Arjuna in the field of Kurukshetra, the Chief Minister said that whenever clouds of crisis loom in the society and selfish elements try to crush humanity, then the principles of duty and karma taught by God help us show us the right path. He called upon the youth to adopt Lord Krishna’s wisdom, his restraint and his leadership skills in their lives so that they can play a meaningful and positive role in building the country and society.
