Giridih, 8 April (H.S.). Giridih Police is continuously running a campaign against illegal serving of liquor in hotels and restaurants. In the same sequence, on Monday, on the instructions of SP Deepak Kumar Sharma, SDPO Neeraj Singh raided a hotel located in Charghara village of Jamua police station area. It was told that the hotel which was raided by Jamua Police under the leadership of SDPO was being run by Mahendra Verma and his nephew Rajesh Verma of the same village. During the raid, both uncle and nephew were also serving liquor illegally in their hotel. Police reached the spot and raided the hotel and confiscated the stock of liquor and beer. of illicit liquor
The seized stock included 30 fils of can beer, 81 fils of Godfather beer, 135 fils of Hunter's beer bottle, 6 pieces of Royal Challenger, 5 pieces of McDevil, 6 pieces of Sterling Reserve, 3 pieces of Royal Stag and 30 liters of Mahua liquor. During the raid, nephew Rajesh Verma was arrested by the police. Whereas uncle Mahendra Verma took advantage of the opportunity and managed to escape.
