
A very painful and heart-wrenching road accident has come to light from Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. Here a speeding uncontrolled private travel bus hit the auto-rickshaw coming from the front. The collision was so severe that the auto was blown apart and it fell into a pit on the roadside. A total of 7 people, including 6 women, lost their lives in this horrific accident, while many other passengers were seriously injured. Immediately after the accident, there was screams all around and a large number of local villagers ran to help.
Women were going to work in the fields, families were destroyed in a moment
According to initial investigation and eyewitnesses, most of the people traveling in the auto were agricultural laborers who were going to nearby villages in search of work early in the morning. When the auto was passing through the main road, an uncontrolled private bus coming from the opposite direction hit it directly. The sound of the collision was so loud that people nearby got scared. Six women among the deceased were the main breadwinners of their families. After this heart-wrenching incident, there is mourning among the families of the deceased and a wave of mourning has spread in the entire village.
Local people and police conducted rescue operation
As soon as information about the accident was received, the local police and administrative staff immediately reached the spot. With the help of villagers, policemen, with great difficulty, pulled out the dead bodies and injured people trapped in the auto debris. The seriously injured people have been admitted to the nearest community health center and district hospital for first aid, where a team of doctors is treating them. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical, who have been referred to big hospitals for better treatment.
Police started investigation, case registered against bus driver
After the incident, the police removed the accident vehicles from the road with the help of crane and smoothened the traffic. Police officials have taken possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem and official information has been given to the families of the deceased. In the initial investigation, the main cause of the accident is considered to be excessive speed of the bus and careless driving. The police have registered a case against the accused bus driver under relevant sections and started further legal investigation.
