Almond Peda is a traditional sweet dish made on special occasions or festivals. How to make Almond Peda
Almonds: 1 cup (soaked and peeled)
Milk: 1/4 cup
Ghee: 2 tbsp
Sugar: 1/2 cup (or according to taste)
Cardamom powder: 1/2 tsp
Saffron: a pinch (optional)
Pistachios: for garnish
Prepare the almond paste
First of all, make a smooth paste by mixing the almonds soaked overnight in milk. Do not make this paste too thin.
Cook the mixture
– Now heat ghee in a pan and add almond paste to it. Keep stirring it continuously on medium flame till its color becomes light golden and ghee starts separating.

– Now add sugar to it and mix well. When the sugar dissolves, add cardamom powder, saffron. Cook until the mixture thickens and starts separating from the sides of the pan.

– Now remove this mixture from the flame and let it cool down a bit. -Apply a little ghee on the palm and give the mixture the shape of small pedas. Place a piece of pistachio on top of each peda and press it gently.
Cool and serve
Now you can cool these pedas by placing them in the fridge. When the peda cools down completely, serve it.
