Rudraprayag, 13 May (HS). Home Secretary Dilip Jawalkar said that it should be ensured that the pilgrims do not face any kind of problem during the Chardham Yatra. Proper management should be done with security forces in sensitive areas and sliding zones of the Yatra route so that the pilgrims do not face any inconvenience.
On Monday, at the District Office, Home Secretary Dilip Jawalkar discussed the preparations with District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar and Superintendent of Police Visakha Ashok Bhadane regarding the arrangements being made by the District Administration and Police Administration regarding the smooth and orderly conduct of the Kedarnath Dham Yatra. Reviewed. During this time, Secretary Home gave instructions to the District Magistrate that all basic facilities should be available to the pilgrims. Proper arrangements should be made for this so that the pilgrims do not face any kind of problem.
He said that proper arrangements should be ensured for all the pilgrims to have darshan at Kedarnath Dham. Proper management should be done with security forces in the sensitive areas and sliding zones of the Yatra route so that the pilgrims do not face any inconvenience. He also gave instructions to strengthen the traffic system. Keeping in view the number of passengers, the journey should be managed well in advance from Sonprayag and Guptkashi so that there is no jam like situation on the journey route.
The Home Secretary said that the journey to Kedarnath Dham is the main journey of Uttarakhand. On the occasion of opening of doors, there is a large number of devotees. There is a huge increase in the number of pilgrims reaching the Dham in the next one to two weeks after the doors open and in the last days of the week. If seen in this way, about 70-75 percent of the journey is completed in the first one and a half month. In view of this, more preparations are required at the administrative level. Apart from this, adverse weather conditions from travel point of view require more attention from the government level. He said that better arrangements have been made by the district administration for smooth travel on other normal days.
Describing the journey to Kedarnath as completely safe at present, he said that communication in the district has been updated a lot. Besides, other systems have also been improved. For the successful conduct of the Yatra, action has to be taken at the government level on the demand of additional PRD by the district administration.
CCTV control room was inspected-
The Home Secretary also inspected the office of the Superintendent of Police and took stock of the CCTV control room prepared for travel arrangements and management. He instructed the Superintendent of Police that security arrangements should be properly managed from the Yatra route to Kedarnath Dham and the devotees reaching the Dham should be given darshan with ease. The Secretary also took information about the security forces deployed in the security arrangements.
Seven new parking lots ready-
District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar said that 07 sectors have been made for Kedarnath Yatra from Sirobgarh to Sonprayag. The Gaurikund to Kedarnath track route has been divided into 07 sectors, in which personnel have been deployed. To strengthen the traffic system, apart from Sitapur and Sonprayag parking, 07 new parking have been prepared. Adequate security forces have been deployed along the yatra route and better health arrangements have also been ensured. The District Magistrate also expected that in case the parking is full in other parking places including Sonprayag and Sitapur, the traffic of pilgrims should be arranged in Haridwar and Rishikesh only.
65 CCTV cameras in the district-
Superintendent of Police Visakha Ashok Bhadane said that there are 05 police stations located in the district and adequate security forces have been deployed on the Kedarnath Yatra route. To conduct the Kedarnath Yatra in an organized manner, 16 CCTV cameras have been installed on the track route. Whose entire display is being closely monitored from the control room and in case of any kind of crowd, it can be managed quickly. He said that 65 CCTV cameras have been installed in the entire district to manage the yatra.
On this occasion, Chief Development Officer GS Khati, Additional District Magistrate Shyam Singh Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Kumar Ghildiyal, Deputy District Magistrate Ashish Ghildiyal and other concerned officers were present.
