Holika puja and Dahan will be done today i.e. Sunday, March 24, after which Holi with colors will be played the next day on March 25. According to Hindu belief, there are some rules for the worship of Holika and its burning. Which we should always keep in mind while worshiping and burning Holika.
Auspicious time of Holika Dahan 2024
According to the Panchang, this year also the full moon date of Holika Dahan Phalgun month is on 24th March, Sunday. This time the auspicious time for Holika Dahan is late night. Auspicious time starts at 11:13 pm and ends at 12:27 am. It will be very auspicious to do work related to worship during this auspicious time.
Keep these things in mind while worshiping Holika Dahan
- Holika Dahan puja and lighting of fire should always be done in auspicious time only.
- Worshiping Holika with fruits, flowers, Kalava, Roli, jaggery, yellow mustard, pots made of cow dung etc. is considered very auspicious.
- While putting the puja material in the fire, the face should always be towards east or north.
- Before worshiping Holika, wrap Kalava on the sticks kept in Holika and revolve around it seven times.
- Then offer all the puja materials one by one to Holika.
- Also pray to Holika in your mind for happiness, peace and prosperity.
- According to religious belief, keeping the ashes of Holika Dahan in the house maintains positive energy in the house and destroys negative energy.
