What not to do on Holika Dahan?

Take care of clothes – Astrology believes that wearing torn, dirty, black, blue clothes on the day of Holi destroys a person's physical strength and positive energy. Such clothes weaken our body and mind and give rise to many diseases. Also, dirty and torn clothes bring bad luck and negative energy remains in the house. On the day of Holika Dahan, the influence of negative powers is more, hence wearing white clothes is also inauspicious. Wear auspicious colored clothes on this day.

Avoid lending- It is believed that one should not lend money to anyone on the day of Holika Dahan. By doing this you may have to face financial problems in future.

Do not look at the newlyweds – There is a mythological belief that the fire of Holika Dahan is considered a symbol of the burning body. Therefore, no newly married woman should see this fire, it is considered inauspicious. Due to which there may be bitterness in their married life.

Do not burn green wood- It is often seen that many people break branches of green trees for Holika Dahan, which is not auspicious from any point of view. It is believed that Peepal, Banyan or Mango wood should not be used in Holika Dahan on this day. In this season, new shoots appear on these trees, in such a situation burning them spreads negativity and creates defects. Dry wood of sycamore, neem or castor tree or cow dung can be used in Holika Dahan.
