Jabalpur, 6 November (HS). In the case of hit and run at Ukhri Tiraha under the Kotwali police station of Sanskardhani, a couple riding an Activa was hit and crushed by a Scorpio rider, due to which the three-year old innocent boy died on the spot and the mother was seriously injured.
According to the information received, Saurabh Aggarwal and his wife Surabhi Aggarwal were going from Ahimsa Chowk towards Ukhari Tiraha with their three-year old innocent child when an MP20CA4438 Scorpio coming out of control from behind hit them hard. CCTV footage of the incident is going viral. In which it is clearly visible how the vehicle was loaded and the driver dragged it forward. In this incident, after being crushed, the child was taken to a nearby private hospital where he died.
Citizens demonstrated strongly against the police administration regarding the incident. CSP Ritesh Shiv and police station in-charge Deshmukh, who reached the spot, assured to arrest the accused soon, so that the protest could be stopped. As soon as the incident was known, MLA Lakhan Ghanghoria, former MLA Vinay Saxena, Kunji Johri, Rakesh Aggarwal and many public representatives reached the spot and demanded immediate action against the accused who committed the incident. According to the local people, the accused belongs to an influential family.
