Hisar, September 17 (HS). The Youth Red Cross team of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology has performed brilliantly in the state level Youth Red Cross training camp organized by Indian Red Cross Society Haryana in Kurukshetra. On reaching the university, the Red Cross team met the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Narsiram Bishnoi. Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsiram Bishnoi felicitated the team. On this occasion, Registrar Prof. Vinod Chhokar, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Devendra Kumar, Dean Students Welfare Prof. Yogesh Chaba and Youth Red Cross Program Coordinator Dr. Mahabir Prasad were present.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsiram Bishnoi congratulated the Youth Red Cross team of the university and said that the Youth Red Cross team of the university has made the university proud by winning seven medals. He said that the Youth Red Cross team is doing commendable work by participating in various activities. He expressed confidence that the Red Cross team of the university will continue to perform brilliantly by participating in various activities like this.

Registrar Prof. Vinod Chhokar also congratulated the Youth Red Cross team for this achievement. The university's Youth Red Cross program coordinator Dr. Mahavir Prasad said that the university team has created a record by winning seven medals for the first time in the state level training camp. A total of 209 volunteers from various universities of Haryana participated in this training camp. The five-member team of volunteers of GUV has performed well in this camp.

Volunteer Aditya won the Best Youth award and Manjeet won the Lucky Star competition. Apart from this, the team of GUVPRV secured first position in the speech competition, third in the quiz competition and won the consolation trophy for overall performance. Field coordinator Surendra Sheoran secured second position in the Lucky Star competition and was also a resource person during the training camp.
