Hisar: Students should actively participate in cultural programs for overall personality development: Prof. Verma

Hisar, 3 May (Hissar). A talent search program 'Niveditam' was organized on Friday for the second year students of BVSc and AH first year at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUWAS). In the program, the newly arrived students presented a colorful program and introduced their talent to the university. In this program, the students decorated the veterinary auditorium grandly with rangoli, balloons, garlands and other decorations.

The first year students added to the program by introducing themselves in a very elegant manner. On this occasion, the chief guest was the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Praising the various presentations presented by the students, (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Verma said that students should actively participate in cultural programs for their overall personality development. Such programs provide an opportunity to bring out the hidden talents of the new first year students and boost their self-confidence. Such cultural programs give students an opportunity to understand the culture, through which students become familiar with different cultures of other states of the country.

While talking to the students on ragging, Dr. Verma told that ragging is banned in the university and it is a legal offence, students should stay away from it. Inspiring the students to become good humans, he said that it is important to think, speak and do good things because this will give you rich mental and physical development which will make you an excellent veterinarian and responsible citizen.

Under the program 'Niveditam', students dressed in Punjabi costumes and performed Bhangra to the beat of drums and gathered in the auditorium. During this, the students added charm to the program by presenting attractive Haryanvi dance, solo dance, staging of Ramayana through mime, songs and semi-classical dance etc. During this, new children introduced themselves while walking on the ramp.
