Hisar, 22 October (Hissar). A three day career orientation program named 'Career Ahead' was organized by the Training and Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology. Under this programme, 12 seminars were organized for final and pre-final year students of 11 departments. The objective of this event was to expand the career outlook of the students, benefiting more than 1000 students.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi on Tuesday congratulated the Training and Placement Cell for the event and said that in today's fast-changing times, understanding the various career opportunities – be it the corporate sector, government jobs or academia – will help the students in taking informed decisions. Registrar Prof. Vinod Chhokar also appreciated the initiative and underlined the immense benefits of career orientation programmes. Pankaj Choudhary, alumnus and career counseling expert of Gujwiprawi and currently Director of TIME Hisar, led all the sessions. He guided the students through customized presentations to various departments about the career opportunities available after completion of their degree, which included private sector placements, government jobs, preparation for competitive exams and international study options. He also gave detailed information to the students about the pattern of various exams which include Banking (IBPS, RRB, RBI), Insurance (LIC, National Insurance), SSC (CGL), GATE, CAT, UGC-NET, GRE, GMAT. Such examinations are included. He also discussed the important points of preparation for these examinations, so that students can take right decisions regarding their career and perform better in competitive examinations. Pankaj Choudhary stressed the importance of being active and getting information about different career options. He said that there is no dearth of opportunities in the world, but to benefit from them, students must be equipped with the right knowledge and skills. Relying only on educational qualifications is not enough. Students should also explore emerging sectors and industries where their potential can be fully developed.
Placement Director Dr. Pratap Singh shared that a total of 12 seminars were conducted in which students from CSE, HSB, Commerce, EEE, ME, Civil Engineering, Food Technology, Printing Technology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry departments participated. .
Assistant Director Placement Dr. Aditya Veer Singh said that these seminars are being coordinated by the training and placement coordinator teachers of the respective departments as well as departmental student coordinators Pratibha, Kirti Sinha, Vansh Arora, Ananta Dhamija, Ansh Raheja, Sujal Puri, Anish, Shubham. , performed by Umang, Khushboo, Keshav Sharma, Gaurav, Bharat, Sanyam Minhas, Deeksha Sharma, Rahul and Sonu.
