Hisar, 8 May (Hissar). Under the direction of Hisar Range ADGP Dr. M. Ravi Kiran, a special campaign is being run at the range level against criminals, bail jumpers and parole jumpers involved in serious crimes. In this regard, the ADGP called for the progress report and results of the said campaign in his office on Wednesday and reviewed it.
Additional Director General of Police said that in view of the elections and to maintain law and order in Hisar range, strict action is being taken against proclaimed offenders, bail jumpers and parole jumpers and people wanted in criminal cases. 670 people wanted in various crimes have been sent behind the bars. Range Police has achieved this success on the strength of mutual cooperation and its intelligence system. He said that the campaign to maintain law and order in Hisar range and to take legal action against criminal elements and send them behind bars will continue.
ADGP said that under the campaign, Hisar Police has arrested 183 proclaimed criminals, 27 bail jumpers and 2 parole jumpers. 20 proclaimed criminals and 20 bail jumpers have been arrested by police district Hansi. Jind Police has arrested 86 proclaimed criminals and 29 bail jumpers and sent them behind the bars. 136 proclaimed criminals and 12 bail jumpers have been arrested by Sirsa Police. Police district Dabwali has arrested 39 proclaimed criminals, 28 bail jumpers including one parole jumper, while district Fatehabad has arrested 44 proclaimed criminals and 43 parole jumpers.
ADGP took a thorough review of the police preparedness in all the districts in view of the elections, deployment of police force, deployment and vigilance at border posts and other police posts, monitoring through CCTV cameras, checking campaign and ensuring adherence to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission. Reviewed all aspects regarding getting it done. He also gave necessary instructions in this direction to all the Superintendents of Police of the division.
