Hisar, 16 April (Hissar). B.Sc-B.Ed and BA-B.Ed courses will be taught in Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJVP) from the academic session 2024-25. Gujviprovi has been selected for the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi (NCTE). The university will be one of the 64 educational institutions running ITEP across the country. This is a proud achievement for the university.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi said on Tuesday that under ITEP, 50-50 seats have been earmarked for B.Sc-B.Ed and BA-B.Ed courses. These courses will be conducted under the education department of the university. These courses have been started under a pilot project of the Ministry of Education to prepare skilled teachers. The university has international level research and teaching arrangements. Along with science and technical courses, prestigious courses in arts and management are being run in the university. Universities are ready to ensure their participation in nation building by preparing best teachers for the future.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi said that along with the study of subjects of arts, management, science and technology conducted in the university, related academic skills will be developed in the future teachers. Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Vandana Poonia said that special attention will be paid to modern technologies in the B.Sc.-B.Ed and BA-B.Ed courses run in the university. Digital learning techniques and new pedagogical skills will be mainly implemented in these courses in the university. The department has made complete preparations for this.
Applications have to be made by 30th April
Students wishing to enroll in this four-year Integrated Teachers Education Program will have to apply by April 30. Students can apply by visiting the website of National Education Agency (NTA). National Common Entrance Test (NCET) will be held for admission on June 12. Students will be able to make amendments in their forms between May 2 and 4. ITEP is a double major program. In this, the first major is related to school education, while the second major is related to a certain subject. There will be four sections in the entrance examination, which include language, general knowledge, teaching aptitude and specific subjects.
