Hisar, September 9 (HS). A program titled 'Media Literacy for Cyber Security of Youth' was organized at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, courtesy of the National Planning Unit. Dr. Pragya Kaushik was present as the chief guest in the program.
Dr. Pragya Kaushik told the volunteers that cyber crime is constantly increasing all over the world, hence it is important to implement cyber security measures. She made the participants aware about Indian laws related to cyber security. Indian Government's initiatives for strengthening cyber security include Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under Ministry of Home Affairs launched Cyber Crime Volunteer Program with the aim to allow citizens to register as 'Cyber Crime Volunteers'. National Cyber Coordination Centre (NCCC), Cyber Swachhta Kendra, gave several suggestions to improve cyber security in India.
Program coordinator Dr. Anju Gupta also made people aware about the need and challenges of cyber security. 100-150 volunteers participated in this program. Program officer Dr. Vikas, Dr. Vineeta, Dr. Sunita, Dr. Kalpana, Dr. Vikramjeet, Dr. Narendra Kumar, Dr. Lalit Sharma and clerks Dalbir and Naresh were present on this occasion.
