Hisar, 21 August (HS). In view of the Bharat Bandh called by various Dalit organisations in protest against the Dalit reservation classification, Dalit organisations in the district demonstrated on the streets of the city. The Dalit organisations gathered at Krantiman Park and reached the Mini Secretariat raising slogans. After a long demonstration here, a memorandum was handed over to Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya.

Various organizations had called for a Bharat Bandh on Wednesday against the SC ST reservation classification and creamy layer. In view of this, Dalit organizations gathered at Krantiman Park to register their protest. Thousands of people from the Dalit community joined the protest by marching on foot from Krantiman Park to the Mini Secretariat and they lashed out at the Central and State Government by raising slogans. In this protest held under the Bharat Bandh campaign, the Dalit community demanded that the matter of reservation be included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution so that the anti-reservation mentality of SC, ST and OBC cannot tamper with this reservation again.

He alleged that the anti-Dalit mentality is destroying the basic spirit of the Constitution by bringing reservation classification and creamy layer. The agenda of the governments has also been anti-Dalit, tribal and OBC. Due to which reservation has been made an indicator of economic development instead of representation. The Haryana government is in a hurry on Dalit classification, the central government should also rein in this and the Haryana government's attempt to divide Dalits should be stopped or else the entire Dalit society will teach BJP a lesson in the upcoming assembly elections. Dalit community leaders said that this decision is against the rights of Dalits and it should be canceled immediately. He appealed to the government to take necessary steps to protect the interests of Dalits.

In this demonstration, mainly officials of Guru Ravidas Mahasabha, Dr. Ambedkar Mahasabha, BSP, Azad Samaj Party, Bhim Army, employees' association, various other organizations of villages were present. On the other hand, President of National Alliance for Dalit Human Rights and senior advocate Rajat Kalsan says that just like the British had divided the country into two parts at the time of leaving the country and created India and Pakistan, in the same way, BJP has got full knowledge that it is going to be out of power.
