Hisar, 26 August (HS). The Building Construction Workers Union affiliated to AITUC has announced to stage a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office on September 3 to resolve their demands and problems. In this regard, this decision was taken in a meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of State President Vikram Singh under the supervision of State General Secretary Vinod Dadouli.

All the district committee and state executive members attended the meeting in which preparations for the protest to be held on September 3 at the Deputy Commissioner regarding the demands of construction workers were discussed. Addressing the meeting, the union leaders said that the organization is constantly making efforts to resolve the pending demands of construction workers. He said that the BJP government is not taking any care of the workers and the workers are not getting any facilities on time.

He said that the government is making a dirty joke with the workers by making big claims about their welfare. The BJP government has been sitting on the money of the Labor Welfare Board for the last nine and a half years. The government is depriving the workers of the benefits they are entitled to by raising false objections. The Building Construction Workers Union has many times given memorandums to the Labor Minister and the Board officials and Deputy Commissioner and has appealed to fulfill the demands of the workers and stop the corruption prevailing in the board, but no action has been taken in this regard till now. Due to the negligence of the government, the construction workers are forced to suffer. He told that due to the negligence of the government, there is a lot of anger among the workers. AITUC State Vice President ML Sehgal, Dilbag Singh, Baljit Singh, Dharamveer Singh, Sunil Kumar, Satish Nahad, Pawan Kumar, Sumer Singh, Ved Prakash, Wazir, Man Singh, Pawan Kumar Sulikhera etc. were also present in the meeting.
