While being the Finance Minister during the tenure of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Narasimha Rao, he paved the way for a new economy in the country facing financial crisis. PM Modi further said that he should stay away from party politics and always remain in touch with everyone. When I was CM, Dr. National and international issues were discussed openly with Singh. After coming here to Delhi, I used to talk and meet him from time to time. I will always remember my meetings with him and discussions about the country.
