Hiranyavati river of Kushinagar shines with the light of thousands of lamps

Kushinagar, November 15 (HS). Late Friday evening, on the occasion of Kartik Purnima, Dev Diwali and the 555th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev, the Buddha-era Hiranyavati river of Kushinagar glowed with the light of thousands of lamps. People took a pledge to spread light in the society like the light of a lamp and follow the paths shown by the sages. Cultural programs also took place during the event organized under the aegis of Vital Care Foundation.

Chief guest, former MLA Rajnikant Mani Tripathi said that in the present times when Sanatan Dharma and culture are being attacked by external forces, the relevance of such events increases. He also called it necessary for tourism development. The former MLA stressed on maintaining continuity of the event and making it more grand along with increasing maximum participation of foreign tourists and general public. Said that if tourists come to the event, they will be able to learn the dimensions of Sanatan Indian culture and traditions and also assimilate it.

Special guest, former District and Sessions Judge Santosh Kumar Srivastava said that Dev Diwali is a festival of donating divinity. Gods also come to earth from heaven to celebrate Diwali. This festival gives the message of happiness, peace and prosperity. BJP District President Durgesh Rai said that Guru Nanak was born on this day. Municipal President representative Rakesh Jaiswal said that Lord Buddha had sent 60 arhat monks to preach religion on this very day. This day is a day to take a pledge to enrich humanity. The guests were welcomed by Advocate Alok Srivastava, Vice President Tribhuvan Tiwari, Co-Minister Umesh Chand Gupta.
