Bangladesh New Government Order for Hindus: The new interim government of Bangladesh has announced an order for the Hindus of the country. According to the order, Hindus have been asked to stop Durga Puja during Namaz and Azan. The government has urged Hindu communities to stop Durga Puja related activities during Azan and Namaz.
Switch off the music system during namaz-azaan
While issuing the order, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retired) Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, “All Puja committees agree with the government's decision.” All Puja committees have been asked to keep the music system off during Namaz and Azan. Durga Puja and related activities will have to be stopped 5 minutes before Namaz.
More than 32 thousand pavilions will be built
The Hindu community in Bangladesh will celebrate the biggest religious festival Durga Puja. Before this, the government called a meeting on the law and order situation in the country, in which some decisions were taken by consensus. The government said that this year a total of 32,666 pandals will be built across the country for Durga Puja. 157 pandals will be in Dhaka South City and 88 in North City Corporation.
Hindu committees also accepted this order
In the meeting, it was discussed that how to ensure 24 hour security in places of worship? How to prevent the worship from all troubles and activities of mischievous elements? In the meeting, it was decided that this order of Hindus to not perform Durga Puja during Namaaz and Azan has also been accepted by Hindu committees.
In his address to the nation, Chief Advisor of Bangladesh's interim government Mohammad Yunus has called for communal harmony in the country. Yunus said, 'Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. The people of this country will not do anything that harms religious good. No one should take the law in their own hands. If anyone takes the law in their own hands and creates an atmosphere of anarchy in the society, he will be given severe punishment.'
