Many Hindu organizations in Sitapur came together on the platform of ‘Bangladeshi Hindu Raksha Sangharsh Samiti’ to protest against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of ISKCON saint Chinmoy Krishna Das. Protested. According to the pre-determined program, various organizations of Hindu society gathered at Lalbagh Shaheed Park. Through a meeting here, the speakers enthused the people present and raised slogans against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and demanded strict action from the Indian government against Bangladesh. Addressing the protest program, Swami Vidyanand Saraswati, who came from Naimisharanya, said that today Hindus are being killed in Bangladesh.
Temples are being demolished, Hindu sisters and daughters are not safe. Protesting against the arrest of Bangladeshi saint Chinmoy Krishna Das, he said that at the time of creation of Bangladesh in 1971, the Hindu population was around 20 percent. According to the census in 2022, the Hindu population has reduced to just around 1 percent. Hindus are being continuously harassed in Bangladesh for years. Religious places of Hindus are being continuously targeted. He said that these are the same Hindu brothers who had made arrangements for food, clothes, medicines, accommodation etc. to the people of Muslim community when there was a crisis in Bangladesh. Today the same community is not backing down from committing atrocities on Hindus. If you are still not alert, the same will happen here.
Sadhvi Mumaksha Devi said that Hindu was neither sleeping nor is sleeping nor will be sleeping. Now is the time to unite.
Vikas Hindu of Hindu Sher Sena, while addressing the gathering, said that if daughters in Bangladesh knew fencing then this situation would not have happened, hence all Hindus must teach fencing to their sisters and daughters.
After the meeting, people took out a protest march with placards in their hands at Lalbagh (Atal Chowk) and raised slogans against the government of Bangladesh. The people present blocked the intersection and then reached the Collectorate where they handed over a memorandum addressed to the President to the District Magistrate. .
Major demands of the memorandum submitted
In the memorandum sent to the President through the District Magistrate on behalf of Hindu organizations in protest against the atrocities being committed by Islamic fundamentalists on all minorities including Hindus in Bangladesh, it is said that
The attacks, murder, looting, arson and inhuman atrocities on women by Islamic fundamentalists on Hindus and all other minorities in Bangladesh are extremely painful and worrying for the entire humanity. The present Bangladesh government and other agencies have deliberately remained mute spectators. As a result, there has been a spate of incidents of physical, economic, social and religious exploitation and atrocities on Hindus and other minorities. It is grave injustice for the current government to send ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who is leading Hindus in peaceful protests, to jail.
In the memorandum submitted under the banner of Bangladeshi Hindu Raksha Sangharsh Samiti, the President on behalf of many Hindu organizations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, Hindu Sher Sena, Valmiki Samaj, Pal Samaj, Sikh and Sindhi Samaj, Vaishya Samaj, Traders and Advocates Samaj, It has been requested that the atrocities on Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh should be stopped immediately and Swami Chinmoy Krishna Das should be released from imprisonment.
In the memorandum, Hindu organizations have said that we all stand with the victims of Bangladesh. Also, the President has been requested to make every possible effort to stop the atrocities on Hindus and other minorities. So that the families of the victimized Hindus and other minorities, their businesses and religious places are protected and they can get protection.
