Himachal Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla was given the honorary degree of Dilliet by the Central University

Dharamshala, 06 May (Hindustan Reporter) State Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla was honored with the degree of Delitt by the President in the convocation ceremony of the Central University. On this special occasion, the honorary degree of D.Litt was awarded to the Governor of the state on behalf of the Central University. Earlier, while welcoming the President, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal said that Himachal Pradesh Central University is the leading university of the country, which has prepared and implemented its curriculum by adopting the National Education Policy.

The objective of all the departments and study centers of the University is that our youth, who have achieved degrees through quality research and teaching, become self-reliant and build a strong society. By creating a self-reliant Indian through a skilled employment-oriented environment, we can realize the dream of a better India, a developed India, a self-reliant India.

He said, it is a matter of great pride for our university that the National Assessment and Accreditation

Council (NAAC) has awarded this university with A-plus grade. He further informed that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted autonomy to CU Dharamsala, making it among the eight such prestigious universities of the country. He said that as Vice-Chancellor of CU, it is my duty to ensure that the University remains committed to the set goal by establishing a bond of integral spirit and becomes the center of Indian consciousness in the fields of knowledge, science and philosophy with a unique identity. So that various branches of Indian knowledge can be developed here. He said that with the aim of providing education as well as all-round development of the students, Central University Dharamshala has achieved exemplary position in the country by organizing national level sports competitions in the last 3 years. In this academic year also, All India Women Weightlifting Competition was successfully organized under the joint aegis of CU and All India Universities Association.

He expressed confidence that in the times to come, the university will continue to play an important role in promoting hardworking, diligent and dedicated players. In the second session of the program, AIU President Prof. GD Sharma allotted degrees to the students. The ceremony was concluded by Registrar Prof. With vote of thanks by Suman Sharma.
