Kanpur, 22 March (Hindustan Reporter). By using advanced technology and modern agricultural equipment in farming, more profits can be earned at less cost. This information was given by Dr. Vijay Kumar Yadav, Director of Seed and Field, Chandrashekhar Azad Agriculture and Technology University on Friday.
On this occasion, a live demonstration of transplantation of summer paddy was done using paddy transplanter hand operated and power operated machine manufactured by Japanese company Kubota at the Dalip Nagar field of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur.
He said that compared to manual transplantation, paddy can be transplanted in more area in less time with these machines. Dr. Yadav said that in summer paddy cultivation, the cost is less and the production per hectare is higher.
He told that by this machine, two and a half to three acre field can be planted in 8 hours, whereas with manual, one acre field can be planted by five workers in 8 hours. He told that this machine costs Rs 2200 to Rs 2500 per acre whereas manual planting costs Rs 4500 to Rs 5000 per acre.
He told that with this method the production of paddy is more by two and a half to three quintals per acre. Dr. Yadav said that by transplanting paddy with paddy transplanter, the farmers of the state and the country will definitely get more profit per hectare. Because both time and money will be saved.
