Prayagraj, 12 November (HS). On one hand, Allahabad High Court is rapidly moving towards online admissions and arguments, while on the other hand, the advocates are facing a lot of trouble due to the High Court website being down for the last three days.
When a complaint was made to the court administration, they were not aware that the website was closed. However, the computer in-charge assured to start the website soon.
Advocates Agam Narayan Rai, Ashok Singh, BK Singh Raghuvanshi, BD Nishad, Ramesh Chandra Shukla told that the website is getting stalled for some time every day. Computerized system has been started since 2009, but advocates have to face problems due to the website getting clogged every day.
The High Court administration has made arrangements for online admission of the litigants by creating admission centers in the district courts of the state. Now there is no need to come to the High Court for admission. Admission is being done from the district court only. Online admission counters have also been set up in the High Court and admissions are also taking place.
When the system was implemented it was said that court proceedings would be viewable from anywhere in the country. It is on. But due to the website being closed day after day, a major hindrance in the process of accelerating the computerization of the judiciary is raising questions on the system. The advocates have demanded the Director General to keep the system in good order.
