The High Court has canceled the recruitment of teachers done by the West Bengal School Service Commission panel. The High Court has canceled the entire job panel of 2016. Around 24,000 teachers were recruited across the state by this panel, so now there are concerns about their future.

It is known that there was an allegation of taking bribe of Rs 5 to 15 lakh during the recruitment process, in this case former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee and many Trinamool officials as well as some officials of the Education Department were arrested and are currently in jail. Are in. This case created a big controversy in the entire state. Following the order of Calcutta High Court, ED and CBI are investigating the entire matter.

It is being alleged that the entire scam started in 2014, when the West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) recruited teachers in government schools of West Bengal, the recruitment process was started in the year 2016. At that time Partha Chatterjee was the Education Minister. After which several petitions were filed in the Calcutta High Court alleging bribery during the recruitment process. The petitioners claimed that those who had lower marks in the merit list were also given higher positions in the merit list. This case was later investigated by ED, in which Rs 21 crore was recovered from the house of Arpita Mukherjee, considered close to Partha Chatterjee. The petitions filed in the High Court have now been disposed of and the entire recruitment has been cancelled.
