High Court asked – How many police personnel were taken corruption action against in three years in Gautam Buddha Nagar

Prayagraj, 28 February (HS). Allahabad High Court has sought report of the action taken under the Prevention of Corruption Act against police personnel in Gautam Buddha Nagar in the last three years. The court has asked how many police personnel have FIRs been registered against them under this Act in the last three years and how many have been dismissed without issuing notice.

The court has asked the Assistant Police Commissioner and the investigating officer in the case to be present along with the records on the next date of hearing on March 12. Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh has given this order while hearing the anticipatory bail petition of Ankit Balyan. The court has also directed the Registrar to comply with its order. It has been said that he should provide this information to the concerned authorities within three days.

The petitioner is posted as a constable in Rabupura police station of Gautam Buddha Nagar. An FIR has been registered against him in Beta-Two police station for demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from Wasim Kabadi. WhatsApp voice recording of demanding bribe is also viral. The scrap dealer had also complained about this to the CM. On the instructions of higher officials, an FIR was registered against the petitioner and the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner dismissed him. When the lower court rejected the anticipatory bail of the petitioner, he approached the High Court.

It was said on behalf of the petitioner that he has been falsely implicated. The viral video is fake. The Police Commissioner dismissed him without issuing a show cause notice. After hearing the arguments of the petitioner, the court approved anticipatory bail and summoned the complete report of the action taken in the corruption case in Gautam Buddha Nagar on personal affidavit.
