Hidden cameras found in girls' hostel of engineering college in Andhra Pradesh, investigation ordered | News India

Amravati, August 30 (HS). There was a stir after hidden cameras were found in the washroom of the girls' hostel of an engineering college in Gudlavalleru of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh and the video went viral. After midnight on Thursday, students started protesting in the college. After the order of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, an investigation has been started into the entire matter. The Chief Minister himself is monitoring the investigation.

Chief Minister Naidu has directed the officials to report to him once every three hours regarding the investigation of the incident. The Chief Minister said that strict action has been directed against the culprits if found guilty of filming the video with a hidden camera. We seriously want to find out the truth. He warned that strict action will be taken if the college management and officials show negligence. He assured that no student should be disappointed and their family members should also not worry. The government will take appropriate steps.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Chief Minister ordered the district officials, Minister Kollu Ravindra and the MLAs of the district to go to the college and take stock of the situation.

According to the local police, a case has been registered and further investigation is being carried out. In this case, Vijay, a final year engineering student, has been taken into custody and is being questioned. His laptop and cell phone have also been seized. Many students are accusing other students of helping Vijay in setting up the camera.
