Jaipur, June 28 (HS). The Municipal Corporation will develop a water harvesting system on waterlogged roads. This will prevent waterlogging on the roads during rain and will also recharge the groundwater. The Heritage Corporation is going to take steps regarding this soon. On Friday, Heritage Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Surana visited such areas where waterlogging occurs on the roads during heavy rains. Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Surana has given instructions to identify such areas and develop the system soon.
Heritage Corporation Commissioner Surana, along with corporation officials, inspected the places where water accumulates outside Statue Circle, Transport Road, Circuit House, Civil Lines Gate, Jai Singh Highway, Railway Station. During the inspection, corporation officials said that the road is very low at these places and there is less space for water drainage. In such a situation, when there is heavy rain, the road gets flooded for some time. In such a situation, a water harvesting system will be developed to recharge the ground water.
Saw the disaster management system, also inspected the low lying areas
Apart from this, Corporation Commissioner Surana also inspected the low lying areas in the city. Commissioner Surana said that the Corporation has made extensive arrangements for disaster relief so that the normal life is not affected by heavy rains. Summer sewage has been installed in the low lying areas so that water does not enter the colonies. The Commissioner inspected the arrangements in Lankapuri, Shastri Nagar, Khaniya Bandha, Jawahar Nagar Kachchi Basti.
Cleaning of drains seen in wards
Commissioner Surana inspected the cleaning of drains in Ward 31 and 32 Lankapuri. Apart from this, he also inspected Nagatlai drain near Surajpol Anaaj Mandi. Commissioner Surana also gave instructions to remove the debris lying outside the drain soon. During this, officials of Civil Line Zone, Adarsh Nagar Zone and Headquarters were also present.
