Palamu, 27 September (Hindustan Reporter). Para legal volunteers will help the poor and needy. The punishment for theft is only three years but some accused has been in jail for four years. Find out such accused in the village. We will have to help in getting such accused out of jail. These things were said by Permanent Lok Adalat Chairman Ashok Kumar Gupta.

He was addressing as a resource person on the third day of the orientation and training program of newly selected 155 para legal volunteers under the leadership of DALSA in the District Civil Court premises on Friday. He gave complete information about the orientation and work duties of Para Legal Volunteers. The training program was presided over by Arpit Srivastava, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority.

President Ashok Gupta said that patients are not getting proper facilities in the hospital. In such a situation, PL will also work with the hospital officials to provide facilities. If there is any kind of case, bring it to Lok Adalat. Will notice and call the other party. The problem will be solved by making both of them sit together. If the other party does not accept the correct facts then a legal decision will be given.

A person may have taken a loan of Rs 50,000 from a bank but with increasing interest it becomes Rs 5 lakh. In such a situation, if banks start adopting unfair tactics to return the loan amount, PLV can get that matter resolved through Lok Adalat. Both the parties will sit together and bargain as to how much amount they are able to pay.

Permanent Lok Adalat member Mahima Srivastava said that if anyone has any problem, identify it. If you don't understand, please contact by phone. Will definitely get help. PLV will see if any child marriage is taking place. Is there any child working somewhere? Also said that PLV has to work as per law. If you go anywhere, do documentation.
