China Flood 2024: Heavy rains have wreaked havoc in China. The situation has worsened due to floods. In the last 24 hours, there has been as much rain as in a year. Due to this, 31 rivers of China are above the danger mark. A high alert has been issued in view of the bad weather. The cities of Henan province in central China have been hit the hardest. Sudden floods have created problems. According to the Meteorological Department, 606.7 mm (24 inches) of rain was recorded in Dafengying within the limits of Nanyang city in a single day. This amount of rainfall is equal to the average annual rainfall of 800 mm in the area. On the other hand, officials of Henan province have issued a high alert in view of the bad weather. Heavy rains late on Tuesday night caused floods in Henan, Shandong and Anhui provinces.

People trapped in the house are being evacuated

According to a report, water reached dangerous levels in Dengzhou city in Nanyang, Henan province on Tuesday morning. A red alert has been issued due to heavy rains and rising water. Houses have also been submerged in some areas due to the flood in the river. Rescue teams have taken people trapped in houses to safe places. The report said that this weather is not limited to Hainan. Train lines have been closed in many cities after storm and flood warnings. Kang County in the northwestern province of Gansu has issued a red alert for rain.
