New Delhi: Heavy rains are continuing across the country. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many states in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for July 31 regarding the possibility of heavy rains in different areas of Delhi, Jharkhand, Western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Apart from this, very heavy rains are also expected in Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura between July 30 and August 1. According to the information given by IMD, heavy rains are also expected in eastern Rajasthan between July 28 and 29.
Orange alert in these states too
Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued for rain in many areas of Central Konkan, Goa and Maharashtra till August 1. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in many areas of Gujarat including Saurashtra and Kutch on July 29. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for Tuesday and Wednesday in the capital Delhi.
Destruction due to rain in the mountains
Heavy rains have become a disaster in the hill states, where many villages have been affected by floods and landslides. Hundreds of houses have been destroyed in many villages, due to which people have had to vacate their homes. Here many roads including Manali-Leh, Kedarnath Highway, Badrinath Highway were closed due to landslides and people were stuck in the jam for hours.
