Jaipur, August 10 (HS). Due to western disturbance, there is continuous rain in the state. Heavy rain was recorded in Tonk, Karauli and Dausa on Saturday. Due to this, fields, barns and markets were seen overflowing with water. Low lying areas were flooded. The district administration along with civil defense is keeping an eye on every situation. On Saturday, the highest rainfall of 160 mm was recorded in Karauli. Drizzling rain has been continuing in Jaipur for about a week. A house collapsed due to rain in Jurhara police station area of Deeg. Mother and daughter died after being buried under the debris. According to the information, Sajid (27) was sleeping in the house with his wife Samsida (25), elder daughter Sahwana (8), son Mohin (4), younger daughter Aaniya (2). Late night around 1 o'clock, the house collapsed. Mother Samsida and her daughter Aaniya died after being buried under the debris.
According to the Water Resources Department, 91 mm rain was recorded in Nirjhana in Dausa, 71 mm in Ramgarh Pachwara, 52 mm in Sainthal, 67 mm in Wazirpur in Gangapur City, 58 mm in Gangapur City, 90 mm in Shri Mahavir Ji in Karauli, 83 mm in Sapotra, 70 mm in Kudgaon, 82 mm in Baunli in Sawai Madhopur, 64 mm in Malarna Dungar, 136 mm in Niwai in Tonk, 83 mm in Tonk, 69 mm in Deoli, 60 mm in Kota, 58 mm in Andhi in Jaipur, 58 mm in Chomu and 57 mm in Tunga. After 2 hours of heavy rain in Chomu, a waterfall started flowing on the hill of Maleshwar Dham.
Rain will continue for a week in Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur and Bharatpur divisions
Director of Meteorological Center Radheshyam Sharma said that the circulation system formed over north-eastern Rajasthan is still there and is spread up to 5.8 kilometers from the surface. Monsoon trough line is passing through Bikaner and circulation system. Moderate to heavy rainfall activities are likely to continue in many parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next one week. Monsoon is likely to remain active in Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur and Bharatpur divisions and heavy rainfall activities are likely to continue for the next 5-7 days. Moderate and sometimes heavy rainfall is likely in some parts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions of western Rajasthan for the next 5-6 days. Heavy rainfall is also likely in some parts of Shekhawati region.
Half inch rain in Jaipur, roads soaked
Drizzling rain has been continuing in Jaipur for the past one week. Due to this, the roads of Jaipur have become slippery. On Saturday also, the rain which started in the morning slowed down after noon. 12 mm of rain was recorded in Jaipur on Saturday. The maximum temperature of Jaipur was 28.8 and the minimum temperature was 24.6 degrees. Heavy rain occurred in the rural areas of Jaipur. Heavy rain was recorded at Chaumun, Bassi, Tunga, Andhi and some other places of Jaipur.
