Heavy rain forecast for six days in 8 states of Northeast India amid scorching heat and heat wave

The Meteorological Department has said that many parts of the country including the north-western states are experiencing severe heat. In the month of April itself the heat like that of May and June is felt. Meanwhile, there is a relief news. Due to less effect of El Nino, there is a possibility of much more rain this year compared to last year. The Meteorological Department has also issued updates for the next six days. The Meteorological Department has said that severe heat will continue in South India during this period. An alert of severe heat and heat wave has also been issued in some states. But for the next six days, heavy rain and lightning is expected in eight states including West Bengal and Sikkim.

The Meteorological Department has said that heat wave conditions will persist in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana on April 7. Heat wave will continue till April 10 in Kerala, Andhra, Puducherry and Gujarat regions. Heat wave may occur in Karnataka and Goa.

There will be heavy rain in these 8 states

The Meteorological Department has given relief news for the north-eastern states. Light to moderate rain may occur over Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next six days. Along with the rain, lightning will also occur.

How will the weather be in Delhi?

The maximum temperature in the country's capital Delhi was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is 1 degree above normal. So the minimum temperature recorded there was 19 degrees. The Meteorological Department says that Delhi will remain cloudy from 9 to 12 April. Jharkhand is also expected to receive light to moderate rain with thunderstorms till April 10. Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra may also receive rain till April 12.
