Due to less effect of El Nino, there is a possibility of much more rain this year compared to last year. The Meteorological Department has also issued updates for the next six days. The Meteorological Department has said that severe heat will continue in South India during this period. An alert of severe heat and heat wave has also been issued in some states. But for the next six days, heavy rain and lightning is expected in eight states including West Bengal and Sikkim.
The Meteorological Department has said that heat wave conditions will persist in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana on April 7. Heat wave will continue till April 10 in Kerala, Andhra, Puducherry and Gujarat regions. Heat wave may occur in Karnataka and Goa.
