Road accidents in Uttar Pradesh: A terrible accident took place today (October 14) morning between a dumper, an Alto car and a truck in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Five people died on the spot. This fatal accident happened on the Kanpur-Etawah elevated highway.

According to the information, an empty dumper moving ahead on the Kanpur-Etawah elevated highway suddenly applied brakes and the Alto car coming behind it rammed into its rear. Then a truck full of rods coming behind the car hit it. The car got stuck between two vehicles, in which five people including two male students, two female students and the driver died tragically on the spot. On receiving the information, the local police and fire department team reached the spot. The body was taken out by cutting the leaves of the car.
Dumper and truck driver absconding
After the incident, the dumper and truck driver fled from the spot. After the incident, there was a jam of about 22 kilometers long on the elevated highway. After two and a half hours of hard work, the jam was cleared by removing the vehicles. DCP West Rajesh Kumar Singh, who reached the spot, said, 'Legal action is being taken regarding the incident.'
