We stayed in Kashmir for almost a week. Captured all the beautiful places of Kashmir like Mughal Gardens, Pahalgam, famous Shankaracharya temple, Gurudwara, Gulmarg, Sonmarg and many more.
View of Dal Lake
Dal Lake of Kashmir (Srinagar) is considered to be the most beautiful world famous place. Where nature has filled every thing with beauty and made it a part of God's image. Nature seems to be welcoming. The water of Dal Lake changes its form in many colors. Amazing view of nature. As if nature is writing literature of beautiful and touching scenes in different genres.
It is the largest freshwater lake in India and its length is 8 km and width is 4 km. Dal Lake is also called the heart of Srinagar city. There are beautiful Mughal gardens along with this lake. Such as Chashmashahi, Nehru Park, Pari Mahal, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. The tall green mountains around Dal are seen welcoming and blessing the people. This ancient Dal Lake is always active in enriching the civilization of Kashmir in today's modern attire. The light breeze of the air in the morning and evening seems to awaken the feeling of supernatural pleasure in the body.
Riding in a Shikara (boat) at night is a wonderful sight. At night, the entire lake looks like a bride in the copper-like light, in the cool moonlight. Jagdi Lake is called the Golden Lake at night. The light falling on the lake makes it look as if the entire water is shining. Along with this, there are many other lakes which are a part of it like Lets Lake, Gulfam Lake and other lakes.
Houseboat at the Fairy Palace
Jabarwan and Mahadev mountains are close to Dal Lake. Here the peaks of the mountains remain covered with snow throughout the year. Pari Mahal and Center Hotel are clearly visible near the lake. Right in the middle of the lake, a small island of Char Chinar is seen showing its beauty, in which a beautiful garden is seen showing its talent. To see Char Chinar, one can go only by Shikara. Even to go to Nehru Park, Shikara is required. This lake is about two and a half kilometers away from Lal Chowk and starts from Dal Gate.
Houseboats testify to the heavenly beauty of this lake. Houseboats built in attractive modern architectural style are truly heaven. These houseboats stand in long rows on the lake shore to welcome tourists. The rooms and facilities depend on the size and design of the houseboat. Ten to twelve people can stay in a houseboat. To go to the houseboat, the owners send Shikaras, whose fare is included in the houseboat. In the evening, you can sit on the balcony or the roof of the houseboat and enjoy the view of Dal Lake. Photography here has its own charm. Some houses are also built by the people who have houseboats, whose whole life is spent in them. Everything is available at the boat-like shops in the lake, like Kashmiri handicrafts, Kashmiri shawls, carpets, saffron and paper goods, which the shopkeepers load in Shikaras and bring to your houseboat. The goods are available in the Shikara itself, which are sold in the floating Shikaras. Dal Lake has about 300 natural springs that gush out of the ground on their own. The view of many attractive fountains can also be seen in the lake.
