Heatwave effect in Saurashtra, South Gujarat, mercury expected to reach 44 in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, May 16 (HS). According to the Meteorological Department, people in Gujarat will have to face dual forms of weather. Heatwave is expected in many districts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat in the coming days. Apart from this, there will also be torrential rains in many districts of the state during these three days. That is, if the day temperature remains above 40, then there may be light to heavy rain from evening till late night.

Meteorological Department scientist Ramashray Yadav said that the heatwave will last for three days in the state. Along with this, during this period there will be light rain at some places and heavy rain at other places. Especially in the next 24 hours, there will be rain in all the districts of Saurashtra including Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Dahod. Along with rain, heatwave is also expected in Saurashtra. That means if the weather is hot during the day, it will rain at night. Valsad and Surat of South Gujarat will be affected by heat wave along with scorching heat. The temperature in Ahmedabad on May 18 will be around 43 to 44 degrees.

According to Ramashray Yadav, after two days the maximum temperature across the state will increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. After the effect of Western Disturbance is over, now wind is blowing from north-west direction in Gujarat. Due to this the temperature will increase. Recently, cyclonic circulation system has become active in North-West Rajasthan. Due to this, rain is expected in the districts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Saurashtra.

It will rain in many districts on May 16

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to heavy rain in many districts of the state after the evening of May 16. In this, rain is expected in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Kheda, Narmada, Tapi, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad.

Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Deesa, Vallabhvidyanagar, Vadodara, Bhuj, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Mahuva and Keshod.
