The Meteorological Department said that on Tuesday, severe heat conditions were observed in many parts of northwest India, parts of Rajasthan as well as various areas of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, heat was also felt in some parts of Rajasthan during the night.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 47.8 degrees Celsius in Sirsa, Haryana and 47.4 degrees Celsius in Najafgarh, Delhi.
