More accidents happen on the road due to heat rather than rain or fog
If we talk about fog, it occurs the most in January. This month 13677 people died in 37040 road accidents. If we talk about rain, it rains in North India from July to September. During this period, the most road accidents occurred in July. 12266 people died in 37228 road accidents. According to statistics, more accidents occur in clear weather than in fog and rainy season.
SK Pandey, minister scientist of Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), said that when there is heavy traffic on the roads, the chances of accidents are high. In the month of May-June, school holidays start and people go to villages or for sightseeing. In such a situation, traffic on the road increases and road accidents also increase. On the other hand, fewer people go out in fog and rain and drive more carefully, which reduces the chances of accidents.
