Ranchi, May 23 (HS). The hearing on the bail petition filed by Dahu Yadav's son Rahul Yadav in the illegal mining case of Rs 1250 crore in Jharkhand High Court will be held on June 21. In this case, the ED had sought four weeks from the court to file its reply. After this, the court gave time to ED and fixed June 21 as the next date of hearing.
In the petition, the petitioner has said that he has no role in the money laundering case. His father Dahu Yadav is being implicated by the ED in a case related to illegal mining. In such a situation, his name is also being added because of his father. He is a student. He has nothing to do with such criminal cases. On behalf of Rahul Yadav, his advocate Sabyasachi has filed a bail petition in the High Court. On January 31, Rahul Yadav's bail petition was rejected by the court of ED Special Judge PK Sharma.
In the light of the High Court order, Rahul surrendered in the ED court on January 2. After this, the court sent him to jail in judicial custody. ED has also interrogated him by taking him on remand. Rahul was summoned by ED for questioning in the illegal mining case, but he did not appear before ED. After this, the special court of ED issued a non-bailable warrant against Rahul Yadav on March 31, 2023.
