Ranchi, September 19 (HS). The bail plea of suspended IAS Pooja Singhal was heard in the court of PMLA Special Judge PK Sharma on Thursday. During the hearing, there was a debate from the side of ED and the defense. After this, ED sought time from the court to file a reply. Special Public Prosecutor Shiv Kumar argued on behalf of ED. Advocate Vikrant Sinha and Advocate Sneh Singh argued on behalf of Pooja Singhal.
It is noteworthy that on May 5, 2022, ED raided 25 locations of Pooja Singhal. After the raid, ED arrested Pooja Singhal and CA Suman Singh. During the interrogation of both, ED got important information about unaccounted money and investments in other places. During the ED raid, cash worth Rs 19.31 crore was recovered from Suman Singh's residence and office.
