Ranchi, 18 April (Hindus). The hearing on the anticipatory bail plea of architect Vinod Singh, an associate of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the land scam case, was held in the court of ED Special Judge Rajeev Ranjan on Thursday. During the hearing, ED sought time to file its reply. This information was given by advocate Vidyut Chaurasia.
Earlier, Vinod Singh had filed an anticipatory bail petition in the court through his advocate last Monday. At present, accused in this case, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and light employee Bhanu Pratap of Badagain zone are lodged in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail. ED had arrested Hemant Soren on the night of January 31 after he resigned from the post of Chief Minister. ED had arrested Hemant Soren in the land scam of Badgai area. Mohammad Saddam, Antu Tirkey, land businessman Bipin Singh, Mohammad Irshad and Priyaranjan Sahay have been arrested in this case.
