Ranchi, July 20 (HS). The hearing on the anticipatory bail of architect Vinod Singh, accused in the land scam case, was held in the court of PMLA Special Judge Rajiv Ranjan on Saturday. In the case, ED sought time from the court to file a reply. The court has given time to ED and fixed the next date of hearing as July 26.

Vinod Singh has filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the court on April 15. Vinod Singh's name came up in the case when, during interrogation by the ED, a WhatsApp chat with Hemant Soren from his mobile was found containing a list of recommendations for transfer posting of officers and a design for building a banquet hall on the disputed land of Bargai.

ED had filed a prosecution complaint (PC) in the land scam case related to Hemant Soren, on which the court has taken cognizance. Since then, Vinod is facing the threat of arrest. On March 30, ED officials had filed a prosecution complaint (PC) under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) in Ranchi. In this case, land revenue employee of Bargain area, Bhanu Pratap is currently in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has got bail from the High Court in this case. This case is related to the occupation of 8.5 acres of land in Bargain region.
