Ranchi, July 08 (HS). The PMLA court on Monday heard the anticipatory bail plea of Vinod Singh, accused in the 8.5 acre land scam case of Bargai, Ranchi. The court of PMLA Special Judge Rajiv Ranjan has fixed July 20 as the date for the case. The ED has not yet filed a reply in the case.
Vinod Singh has filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the special court of PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) Ranchi on April 15. Vinod Singh's name has come up in the case when during interrogation by ED, a list of recommendations for transfer posting of officers and a design regarding construction of a banquet hall on the disputed land of Bargai was found in a WhatsApp chat with Hemant Soren from his mobile.
In this case, land revenue employee of Bargain area, Bhanu Pratap is currently in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail. Whereas Chief Minister Hemant Soren has got bail from the High Court in this case.
