Hearing in Atala Mata Mandir case on August 20

Jaunpur, 12 July (HS). The next hearing of the Atala Mata Mandir case pending in the Civil Judge (Senior Division) has been set for 20 August. The date of hearing of the Arya Sanskriti Sanrakshan Trust's case Sri Bhagwan Sri Atala Mata Atala Devi etc. vs. Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board etc. was to be fixed. On 12 July, the court fixed the next date of hearing as 20 August.

Plaintiff and advocate Ajay Pratap Singh said that the maintenance and jurisdiction of the case was debated during the hearing on May 22. Written arguments were also filed in the file but as arguments remained pending on some points, the next date of hearing was fixed as August 20. Atala Mata Mandir was built by King Jaichandra Rathore of Kannauj. This has been mentioned in the book by Alexander Cunningham, the first Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India.

At present, the Atala Mata Temple has been made a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India in the name of Atala Mosque. According to many reports of the Archaeological Survey of India, it is proved that the Atala Mosque is the Atala Mata Temple.
