Lucknow, 24 February (HS). Today's young generation is very aware about the topic like menstruation. Girls talk openly about this to their friends and mothers, they know that this is not a disease or a matter of shame. This is a positive change, but there is a need to move ahead and unless girls talk openly with their fathers and brothers, this change is incomplete. Only when men are sensitive will women be able to have a healthy environment at home. Former minister Swati Singh said these things. She was speaking on Saturday in an awareness program organized by Swati Foundation on the topic of menstruation to the students of Shri Gurunanak Girls Degree College.
She also answered each and every question of the girl students on this issue and resolved all the apprehensions regarding menstruation. Sanitary pads were also distributed on this occasion. More than three hundred girl students participated in this program in the college. On this occasion, Swati Singh said that even now many things are said at home like prohibition of going to the kitchen during menstruation and not touching pickles.
He said that in this era of medical science, girls will not only have to talk about this openly at home, but will also have to explain it to the men of the house. It is very important for men to be sensitive about this subject, only then the women of the house will be able to get a healthy environment. For any change, there is a need to change oneself first, which should start first from oneself and then from home. Swati Foundation has been started with this purpose in mind and without you this goal cannot be achieved.
He told that sanitary pads should be changed every four to five hours. If itching occurs, a doctor should be consulted. On having pimples on the face during periods, she told that everyone's menstrual cycle is different. It is important to have periods. If not, there may be a problem. Pimples may occur due to hormonal changes. If the problem is severe then you can consult a doctor. During this, Principal Dr. Surbhi ji. Women teachers like Garg, Dr. Ranjit Kaur, Dr. Prachi Bhatnagar, Swati Shukla, Dr. Shweta Shukla, Dr. Deepti Rai etc. were included.
