  • Cashew: 10-12
  • Other dry fruits (almonds, raisins, pistachios etc.)
  • Milk or Cream: 1 cup

Easy recipe to make sweet potato halwa

  1. Boil Sweet Potatoes:
    • Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and boil them.
    • After it cools down, peel and mash it.
  2. Fry cashew nuts and saffron in ghee:
    • Heat ghee in a pan.
    • Add cashew nuts and saffron and fry lightly.
  3. Cook Sweet Potatoes:
    • Now add mashed sweet potatoes to the pan.
    • Cook it while stirring on low flame.
  4. Make jaggery syrup:
    • Take some hot water in another pan.
    • Add jaggery and cardamom powder to it and prepare the syrup.
  5. Add milk or cream:
    • When the sweet potato starts changing color, add 1 cup milk or cream.
  6. Mix the syrup:
    • Add jaggery syrup to sweet potatoes and mix well.
    • Cook it while stirring on low flame until the halwa is ready.
  7. Add dry fruits:
    • After cooking, add dry fruits to the halwa and cover it.
  8. Serve:
    • Serve hot halwa and enjoy winters.
