Health workers' organization begins protest over three-point demands – News India Live

Dhamtari, June 22 (HS). On June 22, the Chhattisgarh State Health Employees Union staged a sit-in protest near Gandhi Maidan, demanding early payment of the pending work-based salary (PLP) of health officers working in community health centers, security of female community health officers and cancellation of the order of termination of service of union member Pawan Kumar Verma.

Raising anti-government slogans from Gandhi Maidan, the union members said that the government is not paying attention to their demands. At the government level, the payment of pending work based salary PLP should be completed by 24th May as per the rules and from the next month onwards this payment should be ensured by the 15th of every month. Similarly, keeping in view the safety of women community health officers, exemption should be given for transfer to the home district, as well as the exemption should be given to reside within the radius of eight kilometers from the headquarters.

In other demands, the order of termination of service of Pawan Kumar Verma, District Coordinator, Kanker, should be immediately cancelled and he should be reinstated in service along with action against the guilty officers as per rules. If the above demands are not met soon then other services will also be stopped by Chhattisgarh State Health Employees Union, for which the entire responsibility will be of the government administration. It should be known that Chhattisgarh State Health Employees Union has 130 members in Dhamtari district. A large number of members of Chhattisgarh State Health Employees Union including Hiraman Sahu, Khilendra Sahu, Manoj Wadhwani, Dhanendra Sahu, Lileshwar Sinha, Pankaj Sahu, Vedika Sahu, Vaishali Bhagwani, Mansi Dhankar, Anju Sahu were present during the demonstration near Gandhi Maidan.
