Health of junior doctor sitting on hunger strike deteriorated, admitted in ICU

Siliguri, 15 October (Hindustan Reporter) The health of a junior doctor sitting on hunger strike at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) deteriorated on Tuesday.

It is being told that junior doctor Shouvik Banerjee, who was on hunger strike, has been admitted to the ICU after his health deteriorated. Earlier, Dr. Alok Verma was admitted to the hospital.

It is noteworthy that Junior Doctor R.G. Apart from demanding tax justice, they are on hunger strike in Dharmatala since October 5 with 10 other demands. Showing solidarity with them, junior doctors also started a hunger strike at NBMCH. Two of the doctors sitting on hunger strike have been admitted to the hospital after their condition deteriorated. However, the protesting doctors said that the hunger strike will continue.
