Law is same for Delhi CM and common man
During the hearing on Wednesday, ED told the High Court that Kejriwal, arrested in a money laundering case related to the liquor policy case, cannot claim exemption from arrest on the basis of elections. The law is the same for the Chief Minister of Delhi and the common man. Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in the liquor policy case. At present he will remain in judicial custody till April 15. In such a situation, let us know what can happen in this matter on Thursday i.e. today.
- Delhi CM Kejriwal has approached the High Court against the arrest. On Wednesday, after hearing for 3 hours, the court reserved its decision on the petition. Now on Thursday the court can decide whether Kejriwal should be granted bail or he will have to remain in judicial custody.

My arrest is a violation of the Constitution: Kejriwal
During the hearing in the High Court on Wednesday, Kejriwal raised questions on the timing of his arrest. He said his arrest violated the basic structure of the Constitution, which includes providing for free and fair elections and equal opportunities. Delhi CM's lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that ED is trying to play a fixed match. Seeking relief from the acquittal of the Delhi Chief Minister, Singhvi argued that the ED had started the investigation in August 2022. After one and a half years, there is no need to arrest Kejriwal for violating the provisions of PMLA.
