Dhamtari, September 12 (HS). In the Collector's public hearing held in the district, complaints are constantly being received against unregistered quack doctors regarding giving injections, administering bottles, giving allopathic medicines arbitrarily despite not having the desired degree and documents and not following the Nursing Home Act and running the clinic without permission. In view of this, on the instructions of Collector Namrata Gandhi, an investigation team has been formed by Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. UL Kaushik to investigate the said complaint.
In this episode, Premlal Devangan, a resident of village Gadadih (R) of Bhakhara, recently complained in the Collector's public hearing that Ramhari Sinha of the same village was treating patients by giving them injections, administering bottles, calling himself a professional doctor. After this, a team constituted on the instructions of CMHO raided village Gadadih (R) on 11 September to investigate the said complaint. During this, Ramhari Sinha and villagers were present on the spot. It was found in the investigation that the said quack doctor did not have the desired degree document for treating patients with allopathy method, which confirmed some of the complaints of the complainant. On this basis, the investigation team sealed the clinic on the spot in the presence of villagers and doctor and advised not to do such acts in future, so that no untoward incident occurs. CMHO Dr. Kaushik said that continuous action will be taken against such unregistered doctors in the district who are violating the Nursing Home Act and practicing illegally by going door to door and operating clinic lab hospitals.
